How To Use This eBible

The CSB Baker Illustrated Study Bible is a resource with a diverse array of features, but it is first and foremost a Bible. In the print edition, the text of the Word of God receives priority on each page. The same is true, though in a different way, of this electronic resource.

The table of contents, both the one provided by your device and the one in the text itself, provides easy navigation to the individual books of the Bible and the various study materials. The “Navigational Listing of Biblical Books” provides the quickest way to go directly to individual Bible books.

Each book begins with a navigation page that allows you to link to any of the chapters or to the introduction for that book. Clicking on the name of the biblical book at the head of every chapter of the Bible text will take you back to the book’s navigation page, and the book’s name on that page will bring you back to the “Navigational Listing of Biblical Books.”

The study notes and other study materials can be accessed through linked verse numbers in the Bible text. The Bible text also contains links to the footnotes of the CSB text (the links are capitalized superscript letters) and to cross-references to related passages (cross-reference links are italicized superscript letters).

In the study notes, Scripture references are linked, allowing you to go to the passage you are studying or to other relevant passages in the Bible. The study notes are also the hub for a whole array of interconnected resources. Within the study notes, you will find images, maps, and illustrations. Connections (placed within shaded boxes) illuminate the relationship between different portions of the Bible. You will also find links, in brackets, to related articles and dictionary entries.
