Overview of

2 Thessalonians 3:1–15

As in their first epistle, Paul and his colleagues transition from the mid-epistle benediction to a series of admonitions to the Thessalonians. First, they continue to encourage the church to remain steadfast amid the challenges of a culture opposed to Christ. The central paragraph calls for church members not to fall into idleness but to work heartily. Returning to themes from earlier in the letter, this section concludes with an exhortation not to grow weary in doing good works and a warning against any who disregard the apostolic teaching.
