Overview

Second John largely addresses the interconnectedness of truth and love. The introduction (vv. 1–3) previews these two themes, which then run throughout the brief letter. In verses 4–6, John stresses that those who walk in the truth obey the command to love one another. In verses 7–11 he discusses the danger of those who distort the truth, before concluding the short epistle in verses 12–13.
