Response
The fact that Jude desires mercy, peace, and love to be multiplied indicates two things. First, it shows that, as believers, we already experience these things in some measure. Second, it reminds us that we should not be content to remain where we are in our experience of God’s blessings. Just as God called Adam and Eve to multiply and fill the earth (Gen. 1:28), and just as the early church multiplied through the preaching of the Word (Acts 6:7), God’s people ought to seek increasing levels of God’s goodness.
